WAKE UP:
A typical day in the bush begins at 05:15 with freshly brewed tea and coffee served at the lodge. Shortly thereafter, guests depart on their early morning game drive at 05:30, heading out as the bush awakens with the first light of day.
During the winter months, mornings start slightly later, with tea and coffee served at 05:45 and the game drive departing at 06:00, ensuring a more comfortable start in the cooler conditions.
MORNING GAME DRIVE:
An informative and professional game drive with the excitement of tracking down the untamed game is interrupted by a stop-over in the bush for tea or coffee with a light snack. The adventure continues and you return back to camp at around 9:00 am to freshen up. This is followed by a delicious hot and cold breakfast, served back at the lodge after the morning drive.
LEISURE TIME:
You then have time to rest or relax at the pool, browse our curio shop, visit one of our other local attractions or relax around the lodge, enjoying the sounds and smells unique to the African bushveld. You are most likely to encounter wild animals across the riverbed and around the lodge.
LUNCH:
Afternoon light lunch is an elegant affair served at around 2:00pm.
AFTERNOON GAME DRIVE:
Following directly thereafter, guests depart on an afternoon and evening game drive adventure, beginning at 16:00 during the summer months and 16:30 in winter.
The drive lasts approximately three hours and includes a scenic stop in the bush for sundowners, where guests can enjoy drinks and light snacks while watching the splendour of the African sun set over the mountains. A selection of South African specialties is served, making this a truly memorable bush experience.
DINNER:
You return after dark to be welcomed at the lodge at around 7:30 pm to freshen up for the evening’s events. We will then meet before dinner for a drink at the boma or to select your wine from our wide selection to accompany your dinner.
Dinner is a three course affair prepared by our in-house chef with fresh ingredients. Dinner is served at various settings. Guests are welcome to request special arrangements/settings for dinner to celebrate different occasions, for example, engagements, anniversaries or birthdays.
